Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just paint over lead paint?
Painting over lead paint will not remove the hazard. This simply covers it up. You can contact the DC health department about proper methods of lead removal.
How do I know if my child is lead poisoned?

The only way to know for sure is to take your child to his/her health care provider and ask for a blood test to determine their Blood Lead Level.
